When we decided to create an Old Hollywood Glamour styled shoot, our goal was to create a look that brides could take inspiration from while stepping away from the standard feather and pearl tablescapes that are often attributed with the theme.
We did however decide to incorporate those elements in other aspects of the shoot. To introduce feathers, or rather a feathered look, we opted for a dress with appliqued flowers and decided to modernize the stationery while including the “pearls” by way of black beads. We added a black circle to the paper suite to bring in the boldness of the beads and to tie it all together we then had a black bead and sequin garland on the back of each chair. We chose to follow through with the beaded trimmings and carried it over to the cake to complete the look.
We wanted this look to be re creatable for the everyday bride and decided to use the colours of black, white and gold. The seductiveness of satin was a great element for the linens while the gold accessories were used to create an air of grandeur and opulence. Candles were used in abundance to create an alluring, romantic and glamorous feel and the softness of the roses, orchids and tulips created a timeless floral design.
We couldn’t have asked for a better or more talented team of vendors to help us produce this shoot and we are thankful that it came together as perfectly as we had hoped.
